Which Jeju stayed with you?
Your answer changes the places, pace and route below.
Before you commit to this route
- Start
- Your accommodation → Jeju Haenyeo Museum
From your accommodation or the hub below, check the current route to the first place. A place pin is not a verified entrance.
Find the place ↗ - Finish → return
- Seongsan Ilchulbong → Your accommodation
From the final place, check the route back via this hub to your accommodation. Save the return before setting out; optional detours require their own return plan.
Find the place ↗ - Time boundary · 5–7 hours
- Start from your Jeju accommodation, not Seoul. Add the outbound and return drive/bus plus waiting. Decide between a rental car and a quoted taxi before leaving; do not combine east and west branches into one short visit.
- Rain / changed plans
- If open, keep the Haenyeo Museum; omit the Seongsan summit and Seopjikoji in strong wind or heavy rain. Finish at the museum and arrange the return to your accommodation there. If the museum is closed, postpone this branch.

Optional food/drink: KRW 15,000–25,000 per adult is an editorial allowance, not a checked menu price.

EAST JEJU · SELECTED
Honest connections for the coast you chose.
Every label tells you why a place is here before you decide to go.
Jeju Haenyeo Museum
제주해녀박물관 · Gujwa-eup, Jeju City
Ae-sun’s mother belongs to Jeju’s haenyeo community. The museum turns the series’ sea scenes from picturesque images into labor, knowledge and inheritance.
On screen, women enter the sea as part of family survival and village life. Here, tools and donated objects reveal the system behind that work.
Visit before the coast if you want the landscape to carry the story’s meaning. Skip only if your day cannot hold an hour indoors.

Seongsan Ilchulbong
성산일출봉 · Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo
The Korea Tourism Organization identifies Seongsan Ilchulbong as a filming location for the series. It is the Pilot’s only screen connection that meets K-SPOT’s official-source threshold.
The official source does not identify an exact episode, scene or camera position. This Lens does not turn a fan association into a fact.
Choose the free lower coast for scale and sea; choose the paid summit for the crater and wider view. Strong wind and stairs should decide for you.

Seopjikoji
섭지코지 · Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo
This cape gives an East Jeju day a coherent coastal ending, with Seongsan in the wider landscape, without sending you across the island.
K-SPOT has not found an official source confirming it as a filming location for this title. Visit it as part of the island the story helps you notice.
Go if the sky is clear and you still want open coast. Skip if wind, fading light or a full day make the extra stop feel forced.

Why this day belongs to the storyScreen evidence, cultural context and the moments behind the choice.
THE KOREA IT SHOWED
See the work before the view.
Jeju is not scenery placed behind Ae-sun and Gwan-sik. Distance, weather and work shape what their family can dream of — and what it costs to keep going.
Start with the people and the labor, then look at the landscape. The coast will mean more than a familiar frame.
Take this Lens into JejuMOMENTS THAT STAY WITH YOU
The screen memory behind the choice.
Each moment separates what the work makes you feel from what a traveler can responsibly experience.
The sea as work
The coast repeatedly appears as a place where women work, households survive and knowledge passes between generations.
The landscape carries responsibility before it becomes a view.Use the Haenyeo Museum to understand the living culture; do not expect a staged dive on demand.Distance shaping family life
Weather, roads and the distance between island communities change what the family can choose and how quickly help can arrive.
Jeju feels emotionally larger than its map.Build one coast into the day instead of treating East and West as a single checklist.KOREA BEHIND THE SCENE
Let the story change your behavior.
Three small decisions make this more than a filming-location hunt.
Haenyeo are a working community
Diving is the visible part of shared knowledge, rules and family survival.
Learn first, keep distance from active work areas, and never request a staged photo. The title is a thank-you
The Korean title carries the sense of ‘thank you for all your hard work.’
Notice the labor behind a meal, field and family business instead of collecting tangerine props.Distance is part of Jeju
Transfers, coast roads and weather stretch a small-island map.
Choose one emotional thread and leave the other coast for another day.REALITY CHECK
