What we collect

Analytics: after consent, Google Analytics receives page views and interaction events such as selections, saves, map opens and purchase confirmations, with relevant page, item or transaction identifiers. Hosting providers also process technical request data to serve and protect the site.
K-SPOT Companion: sending a question sends recent chat messages, the current page, saved item identifiers and My Korea Lens selections/result to our server. Questions, replies and submitted feedback may be recorded for support and answer review, and sent to an operator notification channel when configured. No account is required, but messages are not guaranteed anonymous. Do not enter personal or payment details.
Local storage keeps your saved places, stamps, cookie choice and My Korea Lens result in this browser. These are not automatically synced to an account or another device. Using Companion sends the relevant saved context described above; consenting to analytics also allows interaction events. Clearing the browser does not delete records already sent to a server.
Email addresses: only when you explicitly use a configured contact or newsletter form, or complete a Trip Edition purchase. They are used only for the stated reply, subscription or order purpose.
Payments: processed entirely by our merchant of record (Creem). We never see or store card numbers; we receive only order confirmation and the email needed to deliver your purchase.

Analytics cookies load only after your choice in Cookie settings. Advertising uses a separate Google consent message when configured; use Advertising privacy in the footer to review or withdraw that choice. If advertising consent cannot be confirmed, this site does not request ads.
Once the site is approved for Google AdSense, Google and its partners may use advertising cookies on eligible editorial pages. Ads stay off the home hero, My Korea Lens, Trip Edition, checkout, purchase delivery and safety-critical information. You can also manage personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.

We do not sell personal data. Depending on the feature used, providers include Vercel (hosting), Creem (payments), Resend (configured forms and email), Discord (configured operator notifications) and Google (consented analytics and, when enabled, ads). If AI-assisted Companion is enabled, Anthropic processes recent chat messages and resolved page/saved-Lens context to generate a reply. External map, booking and affiliate links use the destination’s policies after you open them.

EU/EEA (GDPR), UK and California (CCPA) visitors may request access, correction or deletion of any personal data we hold (in practice: your email and any chat message you identify). Local-storage data can be cleared instantly from your own browser settings.

Chat and contact records may remain in server logs and configured notification or email services. A fixed automatic deletion schedule is not currently implemented; we do not promise deletion after 12 months. To request deletion of a message we hold, contact hello@kspottravel.com with its approximate date and enough detail to locate it. Provider-held and purchase records are subject to the providers’ retention requirements.
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
