Bukbu-ri Hackberry Tree북부리 팽나무
A 500-year-old hackberry tree crowning a village hill, star of Extraordinary Attorney Woo's beloved 'Sodeok-dong' episodes. After the show aired it was designated a national Natural Monument.
Appears in
“The majestic village tree at the heart of the 'Sodeok-dong' episode — the case that made the whole country look up.”
Recreate the shot: The tree owns the hilltop: shoot from the field path below with the crown against open sky — a person at the base gives the scale the finale used. Golden hour turns the canopy translucent.
There now: It's a protected natural monument on a working village's land: admire from the path, no climbing, and keep to the edges of the fields. The village asks visitors to take memories, not shortcuts through crops.
