What to budget
Adult regular admission KRW 19,000 includes the return regular ferry. ITX Cheongnyangni↔Gapyeong: KRW 5,700 × 2; admission + return rail = KRW 30,400. From Yongsan: KRW 6,900 × 2, total KRW 32,800. Station↔wharf, accommodation↔Seoul departure station, meals and activities extra.
If plans change
Reserve the rest of your day for the journey. Do not bolt Yongpyong onto this island visit.

Before you go: Yongpyong is a separate mountain trip. Neither a Nami ticket nor the local visit allowance includes transport from Seoul.

Navigation and booking
Getting there
Cheongnyangni → ITX-Cheongchun to Gapyeong (about 42 minutes in Nami’s official guide) → local bus or taxi to the mainland wharf (about 5 minutes driving, waiting extra) → about 5 minutes by ferry. Search for 남이섬 매표소/선착장, not the island’s postal address.
Getting back
Island wharf → regular ferry → Gapyeong mainland wharf → bus or taxi → Gapyeong Station → your booked ITX to Cheongnyangni. Check the ferry and train together before boarding. As a planning buffer, start heading to the island wharf at least 60 minutes before your train; allow more for crowds or weather.
Round-trip time allowance
Allow an editorial 3–4 hours for round-trip travel, transfers and waiting from Cheongnyangni. Add 3–4 hours on the island: roughly 6–8 hours total, or 4½–6 hours for the short visit. Accommodation↔Cheongnyangni is extra; missed connections take longer.
Budget · one adult
From Cheongnyangni: admission + return ITX KRW 30,400 + station↔wharf allowance KRW 10,000–20,000 + food/drink KRW 15,000–25,000 = KRW 55,400–75,400. The last two items are editorial allowances for one person using taxis or other local transport, not fixed fares or verified menu prices. Accommodation transfers and activities extra; add KRW 2,400 from Yongsan. Confirm the final fare when booking.

Suggested visit

Reserve the rest of your day for the journey. Do not bolt Yongpyong onto this island visit.

  1. BEFORE LEAVING

Arrange Gapyeong and the mainland wharf

Check rail tickets plus a local bus or taxi from Gapyeong to the Nami wharf. Save a return connection. The island map pin is not a land-access entrance.

  2. AT THE WHARF

Buy admission and check the return ferry

The operator lists adult regular admission KRW 19,000 including the return regular ferry. Confirm today’s service and the latest sailing that fits your onward transport.

  3. FIRST WALK

Follow the visitor map to the tree lanes

Pick up the current island map. The Winter Sonata memory is the reason to come; paths, exhibitions and photo points remain real visitor spaces.

  4. LUNCH + REST

    Choose an open island restaurant

Meals are paid separately. Check prices and ingredients before ordering, then leave time for a relaxed walk back toward the ferry.

  5. RETURN

Ferry → mainland wharf → Gapyeong

Leave a queue buffer and use your saved return route. If service is suspended, follow operator instructions; do not assume a land crossing.
