Choose Yeouido if a relaxed picnic is the point; use Yeouinaru as the arrival/return anchor. Choose Banpo instead only if its location and the current fountain operation fit your day. These are alternatives, not a short walk between picnic stops.

Skip the riverside when rain, wind, heat or crowd restrictions would make sitting uncomfortable. A fountain or delivery meal should be optional, not the reason the whole outing succeeds or fails.

Save park → accommodation before sitting down. On a normal Yeouido day, return via Yeouinaru; major events can close station entrances, so follow the current diversion notice. Banpo needs its own route. Include packing up and the walk out in your last-train decision.

Yeouido example for one adult using two base-fare subway rides: KRW 3,100 transport + KRW 10,000–20,000 editorial picnic allowance = KRW 13,100–23,100. This is not a meal quote; distance surcharges, transit-card purchase, rentals, cruises and taxis are extra. Banpo transfers may change the cost.

Check the Hangang access notices. If rain or a closure starts, pack up and use an open street-level exit; do not shelter beneath a bridge in a closed riverside area. Replace the picnic with a seated meal near the return station, not another exposed park.
